Virtual Workshop - Zoom

Simona Ironico, Fashion Business Program Leader of Istituto Marangoni Milano, will engage participants in a discussion of contemporary trends in responsible fashion. The purpose of the session will be to encourage the audience to approach the topic from the multiple perspectives of environmental and social sustainability as well as diversity and inclusiveness.
Virtuous practices involving creatives, companies and consumers will be discussed at all stages of the supply chain: from innovative fibers to “post-consumer upcycling,” from marketplaces of “pre-ovned” garments to adaptive fashion. The workshop will also explore the new frontiers of sustainability and inclusivity under the impact of digital transformation, critically assessing the opportunities offered by virtualization of such fundamental operations as the design, prototyping, purchasing, promotion, sale and even consumption of fashion products.
