Santa Marcelina - School of Fashion
Faculdade Santa Marcelina, founded in 1927, is a traditional College in Brazil, non-profit Catholic organization, offering a variety of recognized programs from Arts to Health in its 2 campuses Located in São Paulo, the largest city of Brazil.
The Fashion program, throughout 35 years, was the first and it is the most traditional in Brazil, being a reference school for the industry and Latin-American education. Many of the alumni students are leading companies like Havaianas and C&A, manage art and creative direction at NK Store and Hering, and some are entrepreneurs creating their own brands like Rafaella Canielo for Neriage and Alexandre Herchcovitch.
The program has excellence in teaching processes focused on creation and it also develops research through a Lab of Fashion product studies working with sustainability in industrial processes, re-design and innovation in surface prints, development in colors, entrepreneurship application, strategy and marketing. It provides modern workshops, photography and music studios, painting and drawing ateliers, jewelry, cut and stitching fashion studio, silkscreen studio, workshop rooms, rehearsal rooms, exhibition hall, and an iconic arena theater.
The program promotes the Fashion Forum Event: the students who develop the best works along the 7th and 8th semesters, present the collection in a fashion show, open to all communities. Honored professionals from the industry are invited to know the new talents in Brazilian Fashion. It is a great opportunity for employability and shows the path to business into their careers.

Concept collection: “ Touching Art ” is a capsule collection that explores touch in art, inspired by Neoconcretism, a revolutionary movement in Brazilian art history. The garments are activated by the movement of the body. Fabrics are reused, revealing a tactile, performative and conscious aesthetic.
