Participating in the “Making Of” project was an intense and exciting journey. Observing Alice, Carlotta and Luna's work up close allowed me to discover how their outfits tell personal and universal stories, in perfect balance between experimentation and sustainability.
I documented these moments with the goal of returning an authentic and engaging narrative. I can't wait to see it all on the runway.
The “Olimpica - Beyond the Gesture” project was born as a creative and critical response to a historic moment: the anticipation of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Students in the third year of IAAD's Level I Academic Diploma Course in Textile & Fashion. were asked to interpret, through fashion, not only the aesthetics of sport, but also its deeper dimensions: discipline, vulnerability, mental strength, struggle and rebirth.
The result is a couture collection with an artistic and symbolic language, where each outfit is a chapter of this visual text that tells the dialogue between body, performance, emotions, between limit and overcoming, between fragility and power then conveyed by fabrics and shapes. The design approach favored experimentation and sustainability: recycled materials, hybrid techniques, coating, manipulation. The result is not only visual, but perceptual with the aim to involve and excite.
