Raffles Milan is the international institute where students actively collaborate together with faculty to create projects of hybridization, experimentation and research, breaking down homogenization and cultural, technological and geographical barriers. Founded in Singapore in 1990, Raffles Education is now the largest network of design schools in the world with 16 colleges and universities spread across 9 countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe: Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand and China.
From annual fashion shows to design projects organized for Milan Design week, often done in collaboration with international companies, the network's European hub is an epicenter of initiatives that offers a cross-section of multiculturalism.
As in the past edition RafflesMilano will again participate in the fashion show event organized by Fashion Graduate Italia.
Behind the scenes we can preview some of the students' designs selected for the end-of-year fashion show, and how their own uniqueness and personal culture led each of them to define a distinctive and singular collection.
We see in preparation Lisa Hua with her “Reframe the Glow” project inspired by contemporary artistic light installations, Rebecca Cezza with her “Orbital” collection, which re-interprets Peter Lindbergh's photography, and finally Celeste Zacchi with her “EXO” project inspired by the solid, geometric forms of architectural brutalism.
The collections presented at FGI25 tell the identity of Raffles Fashion Design students: projects born from visual research, experimentation and personal reflection. Garments that transform tailoring techniques into contemporary narratives, traversing themes such as identity, memory, the body and freedom.
