Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS e LINEAPELLE - UNIC Italian Tanneries have been carrying on for years a collaboration that aims to create a link between students from Italian fashion schools associated with Piattaforma ETS and the world of Italian companies producing leather and innovative materials.
The “NEXT GEN LEATHER DESIGNERS” competition.”, which will be promoted annually for three years, aims to link the training of fashion schools with the real needs of the industry by promoting a Creative and responsible approach to materials and processes. The competition focuses on the ESG themes, environment, society and governance, to raise awareness among young designers on the’Ethical, social and environmental impact of one's design choices.
Participating students should submit a project proposal consisting of a Mini capsule of outfits and/or accessories involving the use of leather as the main material. The project should be inspired by the guiding theme of Fashion Graduate Italia 2025: “Bridging Tribes. Building Dreams.” that is, an invitation to explore connections between different identities, cultures and visions, integrating innovation and craftsmanship, digital and analog, local and global.
