Founded in 1989 in Hamburg, the’AMD Akademie Mode & Design' (Academy of Fashion and Design) is now one of the most prestigious private institutions in German-speaking countries for education in fashion, design, communication and management.
From the beginning, AMD's mission has been to combine creative excellence and economic expertise-a guiding principle that has distinguished it for more than 30 years. Since 2013, AMD has been a department of Hochschule Fresenius, one of Germany's largest and most historic private universities. This union has strengthened its academic offerings and enabled the awarding of officially recognized bachelor's and master's degrees.
