Capsule collection title: Bleu de travail
Concept collection: The “Bleu de travail” collection is inspired by a deep reflection on the nature of work and the philosophies surrounding it. Work, often seen through two distinct lenses – manual and intellectual – is brought together here in essential harmony. Throughout the ages, thinkers such as Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Kant have considered the place of work in our lives. Some have viewed it as a form of alienation, others as a means of fulfillment, but always as a pillar of human existence. In this collection, these ideas resonate through pieces where tailoring, a symbol of intellectual work and precision, merges with workwear, representing physical effort and artisanal mastery. By uniting tailoring and workwear, this collection illustrates the complementarity of the body and mind, challenging the notion that manual and intellectual labor are opposed. Embracing these two dimensions of work, “Bleu de travail” aims to reconcile what has long been separated.
Work is not merely a physical or mental activity; it is a fusion. Whether behind a desk or in a workshop, creative effort remains the same. This collection calls for a unified vision of work, where the labor of the hands enriches that of the mind, and vice versa. Additionally, each outfit in the collection has been designed to combine aesthetics and practicality, featuring numerous thoughtfully placed pockets to meet individual needs, facilitating movement, and providing comfort tailored to various everyday realities.
