Concept collection: Taylor’s University THE SHOW International Catwalk Showcase features a collection of seven stunning garments from seven graduating students under the theme Ethereal, inviting audiences to explore the intersection of reality and fantasy. Each collection showcases exquisite craftsmanship and imaginative storytelling. From Faith Aimee’s “Heartbreak,” which reflects a journey of self-discovery through the lens of Lana Del Rey’s music, to Dania Mefiana Putri Ong’s haunting exploration of sleep paralysis, the pieces evoke emotional landscapes that resonate with personal experiences.

The other collections further highlight the creativity of the students. Sharon Lee’s “Labyrinthe” draws from mythological tales, symbolising entrapment and the struggle for freedom, while Julia Wey Khai Yee’s “Hush-A-Bye” evokes childhood’s dreamlike essence. Low Feng Yie’s “Fallout” addresses the duality of nuclear radiation, blending fragility and resilience, and Andi Syahnaz Asyira’s “Shades of Cool” embraces a punk rock aesthetic inspired by the character Nana Osaki. Marcus Liew’s “Whisper of Reality” pairs fairy tale fantasies with harsh realities, encouraging viewers to cherish the wonder of storytelling.
