Moodboards and portfolios are working tools that we can use to communicate with different audiences: for example, an application to an applied arts university, a team of collaborators, an employer, the jury of a competition...
At the same time, both tools give us a deeper understanding of our own career and professional identity, highlighting our strengths, distinguishing our strongest ideas from our least effective ones, and thus also helping us to understand what we would like to do in the future.
Both of these tools require work in editing, that is, in selecting the materials best suited to achieve the communicative goal toward the audience and context we are addressing; and in visualization, which must be all the freer and more creative the more we are trying to communicate-as well as our skills-our personality. Finally, thanks to layout, we can compose even very different materials into a coherent, original and effective discourse.
The ONE ANOTHER workshop proposes to illustrate these concepts-editing, visualization, and layout-in a simple and straightforward manner through visual examples from various student and professional works.
After an initial half hour spent sharing these materials, the audience will be invited into an interactive discussion through the MURAL digital platform.
