Alberto Scaccioni is the General Secretary of the Centro di Firenze per La Moda Italiana, the non-profit organisation established in 1954 to promote and internationalise the Italian fashion system. Since 2006, he has also been Managing Director of EMI-Ente Moda Italia, created on the initiative of CFMI and Sistema Moda Italia to promote, propagate and valorise “Made in Italy” fashion by organising the participation of Italian companies in important fashion events abroad (Moscow, New York, Seoul, Almaty, Tokyo and Hong Kong). Born in Florence, he graduated in Methodology of Social Sciences at the Department of Political Sciences of the “Cesare Alfieri” University of Florence, and also obtained a PhD at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
