Da Simmel a Miranda Priestly. Mitologie comunicative fra passato e futuro

The Workshop, starting from Simmel and the sociological definition of fashion, will try to demonstrate how the past is closely connected to the present, to modern fashions and mythologies. Brands, accessories, relevant personalities of the fashion industry: there can be no serious reflection on the future without the awareness of what has already been and happened before. Students will be encouraged to interact and will have the opportunity to test themselves, working on the current media system in search of interesting topics and cultural objects to analyze. They will thus find the right connections that lead from the birth of the metropolis to the success of Birkin, without forgetting the collective imagination of films, TV series and social storytelling.
