Lifegate

In 2000 he founded Lifegate with the aim of spreading ethical values and human and ecosystem respect.
This path had already begun in 1986 with Fattoria Scaldasole, company that in a few years become the first organic company in Italy and fourth Italian company in the yogurt sector.
In a short time, over 60,000 companies, inspired by the success of Fattoria Scaldasole, begin to produce and transform organic products, bringing Italy from the last to the first place for organic production in Europe.
Since 1981 he is living in province of Como in the first passive solar house built in Italy and designed by him, in the past the house was already the Fattoria Scaldasole’s headquarter, which today hosts the first solar tracking photovoltaic park in our country.

In 1997 he was awarded by the Milan Chamber of Commerce with the “Entrepreneur of the year” award in the “Quality of life” category.
In 2008 the Davos World Economic Forum awarded him with the “Social entrepreneur of the Year” award, which recognizes the best social entrepreneurs chosen in thirty countries.
In 2010 he became a member of the World Shift Council on the G20 (WS20)
